About Me
I’m Sameeha Bricklemyer, the graphic designer behind The Inked Leaf. I’m a first-generation American, born to Sri Lankan immigrant parents, and a proud mother to two incredible daughters. I’ve always had a passion for art, and after earning my BA in Visual Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2009, I dove into the world of graphic design. It was at UMBC that I met my amazing husband, Ryan, who’s been my biggest supporter. I live in beautiful Frederick, Maryland with my family. When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me listening to a good audiobook, cooking a recipe I found on Pinterest, or exploring new places.
Every design I create is personal—whether it’s for a new business, a custom commission, or a branding update. I believe in the power of creativity to tell a story, and I’m committed to helping my clients bring their visions to life. My goal is to make sure you love the designs we create together.
The Inked Leaf
In 2012, I set out on a creative journey to help small businesses make their mark. The name The Inked Leaf was inspired by the very beginning of my process — an ink pen and a leaf of paper. I’ve always started my designs with these tools, sketching out ideas by hand before turning them into something bigger. Whether it’s a logo, branding concept, or custom commission, I still hand-draw many of my initial designs because there's something special about the personal touch of ink on paper.
